Some Minnesota Views

Georg and I have enjoyed our outings, though there haven't been as many as we would like yet. We were going to go to a Flea Market and Antique Show the first weekend after we had been her, but spent our time getting more moved in. Then last week we were going to go to a Shakepeare play in Eagan in what they call the Theater of the Woods, but we were invited to our Bishop's house for a Potluck getogether for new people in the Ward. We were glad we went. We had a great time and really enjoyed especially getting to know the Bishop and his family better. Everyone we have met are so nice and friendly in and out of the ward. The Bishop's family just moved into a new house they built and have an unfinished basement for the kids to play in, complete with a basketball court. We played a game of Walleyball, with a number of the Bishop's kids and friends and a number of adults. Georg and I were on the same team. He impressed all the teenage guys with his sporty skills, in which he is definitely not lacking. It was a blast! The Bishop is quite the athlete himself.

We have found the chance to check out the Ikea here and parts of The Mall of America. Also we have taken a few drives and been to Harriet Lake, which is closer to downtown Minneapolis. We will have to go back again. It is surrounded by some beautiful spacious homes that look to be a more historical area and very well off. It was foggy but you can see a little bit of the city through the clouds. We found this canoe on the side of the lake and figured a perfect picture. It started to rain and so we continued our walk as a drive.
Also we went out to Bush Lake, a lake we have heard you can swim in. It's not very far, just in Bloomington. It has a nice beach and is really quite a large lake. Of course fishing is quite big here, so we see people out all of the time. It is our plan to come out and check out all of the permitted swimming holes we can since we both are like fish on the land yearning to be in the water. We joke how I am like Papa and am a sun worshipper and love to get out and enjoy it all at the pool. Wish he were out here with me. I am trying to convince Mom to come, but those darn expensive plane tickets. Anyway, we are enjoying. Just wish to be with Georg more, we can never get enough time together. We see birds and rabbits all over our apartment complex lawns all of the time. It is so amazing, just to come around the corner and see a little bunny there in the grass. We will post some pictures soon.
