A Sunny Day in the Minnesota Winter

Well that does happen thankfully on a regular basis, but a huge warm front came in making it reach the 30's instead of the -30's and we decided to take advantage of it. We went to go see one of Minnesota's great landmarks; a giant spoon which is 52 feet long with a cherry that weighs 1,200 pounds. It is called Spoonbridge and Cherry by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen and it is also a fountain during warm months. It is a sculpture of many in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.
Here are a few more pictures from the Garden including us next to the Spoon and Cherry. Don't you love the snow head on the sculpture, and check out my photography skills with this reflection photo of Georg. Pretty sweet isn't it!

Laura! How are you doing? This is JaNae from LDSBC, I found your blog through Kristen and I was thrilled to! It sounds like your life has been pretty good that last six years! I didn't realized you served a mission. That is awesome (was is Oregon, I didn't catch that, but you mentioned your mission president's wife in Oregon) anyway, that's where Justin served (Eugene). Hey, I wonder if you are in Justin's sisters ward or stake. They are Jen and Ryan McCammon, I think they live 10 minutes from Minneapolis. I'll add you to my blog and i would love to stay in touch!! Take care
