Valentine's Day

This was our first Valentine's Day together that Georg knew about. Last year I arrived from Texas with all my bags packed on Valentine's Day. I had been back from my mission for a few weeks and felt I needed to be out in Utah and where my heart longed to be, with Georg. I managed only by the Lord's help to keep it a secret. I was supposed to fly out the night before when we would have been talking on the phone, well I guess Heavenly Father knew that Georg was going to suspect something, so the flight was cancelled, pretty much everything was because of a blizzard. So Mom, took me back home for another night at home. I talked to Georg and everything seemed normal. Then I flew out and surprised Georg at a BYU Basketball game he was going to with his nephew and brother-in-law (they got me there too). He didn't know what to do, but he picked me up and held me and wouldn't let go!

This year we happily spent it just the two of us. We went to a new little Italian restaurant owned by a couple from Italy. It is here in Provo and called Gloria's Little Italy. It was quaint and romantic, very delicious food and yummy dessert - italian cake and gelato! Then we went and dropped roses off to two wonderful women in our Ward. They both live together and are widows. They were so thrilled to receive the flowers and we had a lot of fun doing it. I had Georg hand the vase to them - he did it very shyly saying to me the only woman I will bring flowers to is my wife, I can't do this. :) I assured him that as long as I am with him, he can do it anytime, plus they would love getting flowers from a boy rather than me.

We concluded the night going to see the movie Dan in Real Life. We really enjoyed it, and laughed out loud quite a few times, I guess that's what humor from real life does for you. Then we went home for a romantic night at home! I am so grateful for what a sweet man Georg is and for how much fun we have together just being our complete selves.
