We went to
Marksburg Castle on the 16th of April, it is apparently the only clifftop castle on the Middle Rhein to have never been destroyed, and has a noteable weapon collection you can see on tour. We just took a quick hike up there and enjoyed the view of the Rhine. We even ran into a family from Utah, he was bringing his parent's here after 8 years where he served his mission. Every time we drive by we are impressed we were there, so picturesque from the Autobahn.

Sunday the 17th of April we went to Limburg an der Lahn, which we had seen driving to Frankfurt one time and enjoyed the old town, church and smaller castle. It is amazing how old things are here. This house I am standing by was built in 1289, and these others didn't say when they were built, but they were so crooked, and small, very fascinating.

We also went to my favorite park in Vallendar, it is so quiet and has a stream running through it, with swings. There is a little Miniature golf place right there too. We had fun swinging = Schaukeln.

When I was in TX, Dad and I took Brendan and Josh to the park and had a swinging competition. We both got pretty high - we'll have to make sure we all go swinging together next time we are all together again. Love that picture of you on the swing!
